Golden Ticket: free admission to Scappoose school events for anyone 60 and up

Scappoose School District admits adults 60 and older to its athletic events at no charge, except OSAA playoffs, per the district newsletter.

If you are 60 or older, Scappoose School District home games are free. The district’s Golden Ticket program admits adults 60 and up to district athletic events at no charge, according to the district’s Oct. 2 newsletter. The only exclusion is OSAA playoff games, which the state association prices separately.

The newsletter does not say whether seniors need to show ID or sign up in advance, or whether the ticket covers middle school events as well as high school. The district office is at 33589 SE High School Way, 971-200-8000.

The same newsletter notes that Wednesday is early release at every Scappoose school, with dismissal at 1:45 p.m. at Grant Watts and Otto Petersen, 2 p.m. at Warren Elementary, 2:20 p.m. at the middle school and 2:25 p.m. at the high school, and that afternoon bus times run an hour earlier those days.
